Also known as from xLog to ChatGPT
Last week, I was honored to receive an official sponsored $20MIRA, but due to some minor issues, I didn't complete the withdrawal process, so it has been in a pending state. It wasn't until I saw that the $18 trial amount gifted to my OpenAI account would expire on April 1st and that I needed to start paying for it that I realized I could use this money for the Depay card activation and verification process. (Currently, the "531993" segment is temporarily feasible)
1. MIRA Withdrawal#
After receiving MIRA, open the "Tokens" page in the backend. Under the $MIRA project, there are two buttons: "Convert to USDC" and "Conversion Tutorial". The conversion tutorial includes a video, just follow the instructions. Pay attention to a few points:
- Prepare some MATIC in your wallet in advance to pay for gas fees. If you don't have any, you can buy some directly from an exchange.
- On Uniswap, directly choose to convert MATIC to USDT.
- If you encounter any problems during the withdrawal process, you can send an email to the official support team, and they are very responsive in fixing and replying.
2. Depay Card Activation#
Go directly to register for Depay (including invitation, please be cautious), and apply for a Mastercard. The specific fee levels are marked, please check and choose accordingly.
After applying, you need to deposit $10 to activate the card. Click on "Wallet" -> "USDT" -> "Deposit". Here, I chose Polygon, so please make sure to choose the correct network to avoid any loss of funds.
After obtaining the deposit address, go to your wallet and send the desired amount to that address.
- After sending, you can check the pending amount in Depay's wallet after about one or two minutes.
- It will take approximately ten to fifteen minutes to complete the process, and the deposit will be credited to the card.
- When enabling Google Authenticator, there is no problem using the Google Authenticator app, but when using apps like Aegis, importing the QR code directly will result in an incorrect verification code. In this case, you can simply copy the secret displayed on the screen and manually add it as an entry. (It seems that there may be an issue with correctly handling the base32 encoding of the secret. If you are interested, you can also try the two-step verification app I developed: Kakunin-Mobile. Although it also has this issue XD...)
3. OpenAI Card Binding#
Note that this is for the API, not ChatGPT Plus. They are different.
-
It is recommended to enable the global mode of a proxy tool and use a node with a real IP. Then, open the browser in incognito mode.
-
Log in and visit the billing dashboard, then click on "Set Payment Method".
-
With the global proxy enabled, check the location of your current IP. Here, I use ipip to check.
-
Generate a billing address for your current location. If it is the United States, pay attention to the issue of tax-free states. Here, I use a Japanese IP with the location set as Osaka. You can directly ask ChatGPT to help you with the specific address, for example:
- Fill in the necessary information correctly. There is an input restriction on the first line's postal code. In the image, you can enter 55600.
At this point, the binding is successful.
4. Others#
-
Some people have reported that the renewal of ChatGPT Plus fails after one month, while others have said that it can be resolved by re-payment. The specific situation is unknown and needs to be observed after one month...
-
The fees generated by Depay are not low. Considering various factors, if there are better options available, it is not recommended to prioritize this solution.
-
As for the security issues, well... I choose to use and recharge as needed :)
