Bubble shadow

Opening my eyes, I saw the red star shining brightly.

Perhaps because I wasn't wearing glasses, even though I felt the star was very close, it was still blurry and not solid. I felt that it was like a person's breath, accompanied by a strange rhythm, contracting and expanding. When it expanded to its limit, it exploded into ripples, spreading out in circles.

Subconsciously, I reached out my hand - it felt similar to the light bulb above the earthen bed in the rural countryside when I was a child. Even lying down, I could reach up and pull the string to turn on the light. I wanted to touch this star, which was attracting me like a whirlpool.

As foolish as a monkey trying to grab the moon, or even worse than a monkey.

I couldn't feel my hands, my feet, or even the rise and fall of my own chest. My thoughts were completely empty, and I could only watch the star continue to pulsate, changing from red to bright yellow, and then turning white again in a few breaths.

Then it swept past with a long tail, disappearing without a trace.

More and more stars rose, changing with the rhythm, dancing, and then disappearing at the edge.

I stared at them intently until only darkness remained.

I felt someone gently stroking my head, walking around me, with a fast pace but not anxious.

A calm and long voice came into my ears, without any fluctuations in tone, only bringing peace and tranquility, making me involuntarily lower my head, and then subconsciously raise it.

In a daze, it seemed like I had returned to a morning many years ago, with bright sunshine, willow branches sprouting, and warm sunlight streaming through the window, casting translucent beams of light along with the sound of chalk scratching.

Warm, comfortable, making one unable to resist falling asleep.

I smelled someone's arm pausing in front of me, and then brushing past. The faint scent of perfume mixed with the lingering smell of dry clothes, creating a fragrance that was not unpleasant, but rather fresh, with a hint of a "human" scent.

Someone gently supported my head.

I heard him softly calling me, "Wake up, wake up..."

I struggled to open my slightly sleepy eyes and saw the young man in a white shirt and plaid jacket through the mirror.

He had a bitter smile on his face and said, "Don't fall asleep again, because if you shave off a patch of hair, it won't grow back."
